Who we are and what we do:
We are a not-for-profit company and our aim is to support people who have communication and movement difficulty. This includes, amongst others, people who have been labelled with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, rett syndrome, learning difficulty and developmental delay.
We are a communication aid centre and learning support provider. We work with individuals who have communication and/or learning difficulties, their families and/or organisations that are supporting them. We can offer unique insights into ways in which the curriculum can be differentiated, the environment improved, the support systems optimised and/or communication can be supported. What is special about the way that we work is that we are committed first and foremost to:

person centred planning
Person centred planning has become a bedrock upon which services are organised in local authority service provision. We can support that process.

We work with children and adults and offer a range of services including:
Communication needs assessments including the use of low, light and high tech equipment to support communication known as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Learning needs assessments including advice on differentiating the curriculum to include all learners.
Training for those who are working with people who have communication needs.
Training for those who are working with people who have learning needs.
Training around curriculum differentiation taking the "least dangerous assumption" as our starting point:
Support for families.
Support for people using direct payments and/or individual budgets.
Advice to organisations working with people who have communication and physical impairments.
Person Centred Planning Support with a disability rights background.
Motor planning training (MPT) which involves the use of physical support to help a person to improve their pointing skills.
We can also offer support to people who use Facilitated Communication (FC) or Facilitated Communication Training (FCT)
Training around the needs of individuals in a wide range of circumstances.
We can offer services in a variety of ways:
