This is the home page of the DEAL communication centre in Melbourne, Australia. DEAL was set up to help non-speaking people to develop communication options including Facilitated Communication Training. Most of CandLE’s Training has come from Rosemary Crossley who runs DEAL.

Options was founded in 1998 by the Director and Principal Speech Language Pathologist, Jane Remington-Gurney. The core business of Options is providing intervention for people with complex communication needs. These needs may arise from disablities such as autism, developmental disorder, developmental delay or acquired brain injury.

Disability Equality in Education formed in 1996 and has had a big influence on the development of CandLE. It is an organisation of disabled trainers who have had a significant impact on the development of inclusive legislation and offer some of the best training available in the UK around inclusion.
DEE work closely with CSIE, the Alliance for Inclusion, Parents for Inclusion and Inclusive Solutions who have all supported the work of CandLE:

Marion, Director of CandLE, was a CAP assessor. This government funded scheme made a significant impact on Local Education Authorities by ensuring that students with a need to access communication aids were able to do so.

Circles Network is a national voluntary organisation formed in 1994 with an educational objective to build inclusive communities. Through facilitating the setting up of circles of supportthey have provided support for many hundreds of disabled people in the UK. All oftheir work is based around the Values of Inclusion. In all of our forms of support,they make use of person centred planning, so ensuring that the focus person is in control of every aspect of the planning of their lives.
Handle is based in Seattle USA but offer training in the UK on a regular basis. They specialise in supporting people who have any kind of sensory or physical organisation issues.
